How does the Ovy app evaluate data?
The cycle calculation is based on the symptothermal method. This means that, in addition to temperature, cervical mucus quality must always be recorded in the Ovy app for double verification and to ensure reliable evaluation. If you are using the Ovy app in "Trying to Conceive" mode, measuring your basal body temperature is sufficient.
Should you measure your temperature daily?
We recommend measuring your waking temperature every morning. You should measure your basal body temperature immediately after waking up at the same time each day – before any activity. If you forget to measure, continue the measurement the following morning. However, record other bodily signals as usual throughout the day. If your temperature is affected by other factors, disregard them for that day.
What's the best way to get started with the Ovy app?
Ideally, you should start using the Ovy app on the first day of your period, i.e., the first day of your cycle, but you can also start it on any day of your cycle. Get started by downloading the Ovy app from the Apple or Google Play Store. After registering, the Ovy app will ask for relevant data to calculate your first cycle. You can find instructions here:
