Very happy
I've been using the Ovy Bluetooth Basal Thermometer together with the Ovy app for 11 months now, and I'm very happy because it makes using NFP (Natural Family Planning) much easier for me.

Helpful for those trying to conceive
I've been practicing NFP for almost 3 years now, and Ovy has been with me from the start. I first used the simple Ovy basal thermometer, and for the past 1.5 years, I've been using the Bluetooth thermometer. It's especially helpful during this time of trying to conceive, as by logging my ovulation tests, I can instantly identify my fertile days.
Questions and Answers
What can affect my temperature?
If your temperature is affected, you can exclude individual temperature readings. To do this, simply select "Exclude temperature." Additionally, under "Disturbing factors," you can document which factor may have influenced your temperature. For example, if you consumed an excessive amount of alcohol on Saturday evening and measure your basal temperature on Sunday morning, you should exclude Sunday's temperature as it has been influenced. The excluded readings will then be appropriately considered by the algorithm. You should also measure on sick days and simply exclude the value afterwards.
Do I have to measure at the same time every day?
The most important thing is to measure your temperature immediately after waking up, before any activity, while you're still in bed. The tolerance window is four hours in the morning, during which your temperature should be measured each day.
What happens if I forget to measure?
For the calculation of your fertile phase, the six days before and three days after ovulation are relevant. Since ovulation can shift, you should take at least six measurements per week. If a measurement is missed, you should log your body signals for that day and wait for the next measurement.
Does the app work on my smartphone?
The Ovy app requires Bluetooth Low Energy technology 4.0 for the Ovy Bluetooth Basal Thermometer.
The Ovy app is supported from iOS 10.0 and Android 5.0 (Lollipop).
On some Android devices, temperature transmission (in the background) works with limitations. You can find a list of these Android devices in our terms and conditions.
Is the use of the Ovy app free?
Ovy Premium costs:
- 4,99 € / Month
- 49,99 € / Year
The app can be tested free of charge for 7 days.
Buyers of the Ovy Bluetooth thermometer receive all Ovy Premium functions 1 Month for free.
