If your temperature reading is interfered with, you can exclude individual temperature values. To do this, simply select “exclude temperature”. Under “temperature interferences”, you can also document which factor may have influenced your temperature. For example, if you had increased alcohol consumption on Saturday evening and you measure your basal body temperature on Sunday morning, you should exclude the temperature on Sunday because the value on that day was compromised. The algorithm then considers the excluded values accordingly. You should also measure on days of illness and simply ignore the value afterwards.

The most important thing is that you take your temperature immediately after waking up, before any activity, i.e. when you are still in bed. There is a tolerance window of four hours in the morning. You should always measure your temperature daily at some point during this window.

The relevant days for calculating your fertile phase are the six days before and the three days after ovulation. However, since ovulation can sometimes be delayed, you should take at least six measurements per week. If a measurement is missed, you should add the body signals for that day and wait for the next measurement.

Bluetooth Low Energy Technology 4.0 is required in order to use the Ovy App with the Ovy Bluetooth Basal Thermometer. 

The Ovy App is supported on iOS 10.0 and Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and above.
